Why Keep Mandarin Gardens

It’s a no brainer… I love my home and I’ll dig my heels in to resist the enbloc every step of the way. Besides, there is something fundamentally wrong with this whole enbloc exercise - nobody should be allowed to throw you out of your home against your will.

It’s the same with everyone who’s a Stayer. We came, we saw our future home, fell in love with it, bought it, made a home out of it and grew to love it. We didn’t come with the intention of speculating on a future enbloc price. And now, we have to give it up because others need to make a quick buck?? No way, Jose!

We (husband and I) looked at several areas and condo estates before deciding on Mandarin Gardens.

The location is ideal as we had some criteria that our future home needed to fill and MG was perfect. And when we saw this little apartment, we simply had to have it.

Sometimes we sit on our balcony and admire the fantastic seaview. The sunrise and moonrise, the changing colors of the sea and sky and the planes approaching Changi airport. We tell ourselves this is a million dollar seaview. Actually, it’s priceless. I don’t think we’d get this anywhere in the world!

MG itself is big, spacious, has a holiday resort feel to it and the crosswinds that blow through it is amazing. Whoever designed and built this place was thinking “Feng Shui.” With the newer developments sprouting up, the only wind you’ll probably get is your neighbor’s gas!

No amount of money will induce me to give up this place because it’s PRICELESS.
